Helmuth Huberner was born in Hamburg on January 8th, 1925 and later moved to live in Hitlers Germany. His life was almost surrounded by actions of the Nazis. His step father was a Nazi sympathizer. He was even forced to join a club that went by the name of Hitler Youth which persuaded and tricked young children into approving of Hitlers actions. Helmuth knew to condemn the club and later found out what tragic things really happened. It was during Kristallnacht, an attack on Jews that he realized their wrongdoings and began to criticize the Nazis.

On February 5th, 1942 Helmuth Hubener was arrested at his job by the gestapo. When he was arrested he was only 17 years old and imprisoned for many months. He was placed on trial on August 11th, 1942. Although he was at the age of 17 years old he was tried as an adult. It was rare for Nazis to try a defendant underage however Hubener had advanced political intelligence and behavior for his age. He was on trial for treason and quickly sentenced to death for the crimes that were committed against Nazis. Hubeners brave quote in front of the judges was, "Now i must die, even though i have committed no crime so now it is my turn but your turn will come". He was sentenced to a permanent loss of his civil rights and executed.
