With the vibrant colors and visual aids, my classroom helps students learn and have fun with education. Crafts and music are major parts of the lesson plans. I feel that young children can utilize memory better when they can recite songs or rhymes. Creating masterful pieces of art pertaining to subjects helps retain information like how trees grow or the difference between the sun and moon. I chose to be a teacher because seeing students develop as a person because of what I have taught them makes life joyful. I have been studying hands-on learning and letting children explore with their hands as a way to stimulate learning. We encourage trying to do our best and focus on things that may be harder to accomplish. Going to school is about learning new things and being able to implement those things in the real world. Children should be able to find what they have learned and teach that to others, help spread the excitement of learning and choose to learn more because they want to. Learning new things should feel like a job or be forced, but to excite the brain and challenge students to dream big and accomplish the impossible! Families will always be welcome in the classroom and can participate in some of the activities! Join in on pizza Fridays, reading nights, arts and craft day, and even family game night. Seeing families come together for the betterment of the children in my classroom also makes being their teacher an amazing feeling.

Make it a game! Children thrive on having fun and families can create cool new games while teaching your young ones at home. Throw socks into a basket and count how many times you can make it while taking a step back. 

Food for thought! Instead of just counting, use food! Cut up an apple and count the pieces, or bake cookies in the shape of letters and create words!

Grow together by creating a small garden. Teach them about seeds and how plants grow by buying some seeds and plant them in the yard. Tend to it with your child and watch it grow together!
