The 4 main groups of special needs is physical, developmental, behavioral/emotional and sensory impaired. As a result, there are many organisations to help these people learn and interact with others for example Rainbow centre, an education system for children aged 7-18 which is taught by teachers, phycologists, and many different therapists specialised in different areas. The fact that there are many centres as such show that Singapore is still trying to help these people and the government is trying not to leave such people out in events and programs. But in a large community of strangers, these people with special needs still stand out and if they do not try to socialise with others, many a times they are left alone. No matter how much the government helps these people, what we can do is to include them in the activities we do and not stay away from them because it is not their fault they are born this way and they are just like any of us with a bit of disability

I myself know a few people who have special needs- my aunt is slightly autistic. However, she is still able to work and earn money for a living.

There are people out there with disabilities, and hence they require special needs.

Different people require different needs.

 Types of special needs vary in severity. 

People with autism, Down syndrome, dyslexia, blindness, ADHD, or cystic fibrosis, for example, may be considered to have special needs. 

However, special needs can also include cleft lips and/or palates, port-wine stains, or missing limbs.

And even if you do not have any disability or condition, you still have your own special needs.

But even though they may have disabilities, they are still humans.
