Prevention

As I'm getting older I realized prevention is better then solution. Solution meaning I have a problem to solve, prevention the problem has yet to occur and I have the ability to prevent it. For example in Chapter 14 on page 413 it gives us methods of intervention for certain diseases such as Alzheimers. Being able to do this is possible by just taking care of my physical and mental health (school just makes it worse LOL). Things like working out, going to the doctors for my check ups, different types of mediation, staying healthy as in diet and nutrients are all important ways in prevention rather than solution.

I want to acknowledge that not only for this assignment but all the other assignments in this course, I'm going to be following the rules in the HFC Academic Integrity Policy. What does this mean? That means I won't copy stuff from others, I'll give credit to where I find all my info, and I won't get help from my classmates or any fancy computer stuff. I'm proud to put in the effort and show off what I know in a good and honest way. Let's do this academic thing together, keeping it real and making sure we do things the right way. Thanks for getting it, and now let's get into our last discussion board!!

I received "ISE" Holland code for the first test.

I received "RES" Holland code for the second test.

When trying to make a connection between the two tests I found that it was very weird due to the fact there is only one occupation provided for me in the first test which was "Industrial Organizational Psychologist." I took the test twice to make sure I was doing it right and ended up with this same occupation again, relating it to the second Holland test is basically impossible due to the fact its in one occupation.

Using Test One to relate to my future I can see the occupation connections of what I would like to be( Nurse Practitioner) to "Industrial organizational Psychologist" As both these careers involve helping people but in different ways. As a Nurse Practitioner, I'll use the "analytical skills" to find the problems in patients and I will also need that skill for solving problems as this occupation provided, I also noticed both careers need to do a lot procedures so I can say that test one was somewhat of a success. I found that very interesting that by just answering a few questions a test can give you occupations that best suit a persons attributes.

Using Test Two to relate to my future I can confidently say these occupation don't suit me what so ever. Some of these occupations I have never heard of in my life and interesting to see that there are so many jobs in need in this world. I do understand all the car mechanical jobs listed as I buy, fix, and sell cars as my side job but I will never make this a career. Im very surprised these mechanical jobs were listed because how is this test of questions guessing what I could be doing(or currently doing).

I am currently 18 years old and turned 18 on February 20 of this year. The age I was given through this test was 17 years old and 7 months meaning 7 months younger than my real age. One thing I learned from the questions given is how our day to day living can affect the age of our body and how our body ages basically the consequences of our own actions. Another thing I learned is we can basically prevent aging by things such as how much we sleep, how much exercise and activity we are and do, and what we eat. If we take better care of ourselves we can be 60 looking like we were 20!!

The life expectancy I received was 95 years old. I am currently 18 years old meaning an expected 77 more years to live yay! To fully expect this age I learned that what I eat really matters, diet is key to longevity when it comes to my age. I learned this through the questions received. I also learned that physical activity and family history is what led me to have this expected age as the main questions where about my physical activity.

In my opinion, the ideal life stage is definitely early adulthood. Why? Because this stage is filled with adventures in which your life starts. This is when life gets real. As said in chapter 10, page 307, in early adulthood its the stage in which an emerging young adult reaches the bench mark or getting married, finding a career, becoming parents, in any sane persons head, what could be better then that? Finding the love of your life and making a mini you, being able to provide for them with your dream career you worked so hard to accomplish. This is easily the best and ideal stage of life.

My overall class feedback. I can confidently say this was one of the best classes I have ever taken so far in my college career. I really loved the achievement platform and how I was able to manage my time according to my standards, it was basically self pace which I loved. I honestly wouldn't change anything the way everything was organized was perfect. If I were to change anything I would change how the exams were set up, I wasn't really used to taking exams like these I like the Moodle and Ilearn platform a lot better. I cant thank this professor enough, I appreciate everything she has done for me and this class!!
