         <title>Listening to music</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>When listening to music, there are many areas of your brain that you use when doing so.  When listening to the lyrics, the <strong>wernicke's area</strong>, allows you to understand the languages that are being spoken. This area allows for speech comprehension, understanding what is being said. Listening to music allow activates ones <strong>temporal lobe.</strong> It is responsible for processing sounds, controlling speech, and verbal memory. Your ears are a core part of this lobe because you are actively processing the sounds. This is what's happening when you listen to music. The<strong> frontal lobe </strong>interprets the music, the emotions, and meaning of the song. It forms personal preferences and regulating your attention span when listening to music.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Sleeping</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>When you are sleeping, your brain and many parts are still functioning. <strong>Pons</strong>, in particular, plays an important role when sleeping; it regulates REM sleep and allows the neurons in your brain to activate the generation of dreams. It normally serves as a 'relay' place for certain sensory and motor information. The <strong>medulla </strong>regulates involuntary process when sleeping such as heart rate and breathing. Partly, it controls the autonomic process. It contributes to the transition different sleep cycles, such as REM and light sleep. The <strong>parietal lobe</strong> contributes to the sleep cycle by supporting the functions that are disrupted when experiencing sleep loss; these include, memory, attention, the processing of sensory information and spatial awareness. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Working out</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>There are many parts of your brain to use when working out. One of them is your <strong>cerebellum</strong>; it coordinates movement, improve balance, and allows for adaption in an environment. This way you wont fall flat on your face when working out. The <strong>hypothalamus</strong> regulates body temperature, and balances out energy levels when working out. If you get overheated when working out then it activates a cooling system, which is technically sweat. Ones<strong> occipitals lobes'</strong> role is through its processing of visual information. It allows for movements to be made and to have them coordinated. It also provides spatial awareness.  These are vital when working out.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Watching a scary movie</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>When watching a scary movie, your senses can go crazy with all of the jump scares, and interesting plot twists. The <strong>thalamus</strong> acts as a relay station for the brain, which plays a critical role when processing information. When watching a scary movie, both visual and auditory senses trigger a type of suspense. Your senses must be processed. Your <strong>amygdala</strong> processes these emotions that come with watching a scary movie. It starts the "flight-or-flight" feeling which causes these intense emotions, even though your brain knows your not in immediate danger. The <strong>right hemisphere</strong> of your brain specializes in processing emotions, spatial awareness, and the unconscious mind. These functions are very important when creating the horror experience.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>When learning, your brain is actively works, in different parts, to make sure you understand the information. The <strong>Broca's area </strong>allows for the process of forming sentences. It supports the verbal memory necessary to understand information and languages. The <strong>left hemi-sphere</strong> is considered ones "intelligent" side where it processes factual information, it specializes in language processes, such a speaking, reading, writing, etc. The <strong>hippocampus </strong>forms new memories, which includes events, facts and relationships. It is critical to the learning process because of this.</p>]]></description>
