First we thought that just having two supports at the end would work, but we decided it wouldn't work. Then we found out it would be better to put 3 supports in the middle, and 2 on the edges. We made a beam bridge because we believed it would hold the most weight.

One difficulty we faced was having the exact measurements to fit on the platforms. And how large, or small we needed the beams. We had to plan around the boats, because they had to fit under, and through the bridge. It had to be 12 in. or longer, with a width of 3 in., and it had to e able to support pennies and allow boats to go through.
