Visual Basic is a programming language from Microsoft. It is Component Object Model programming model first released in 1991. After that is has been developed and declared during 2008. Microsoft intended Visual Basic to be relatively easy to learn and use for anyone who does not understand the basics and wanting to learn programming. This could be easy to understand for kids as well and adults. A programmer can create an application using the Visual Basic program itself. Over time the community of programmers developed third-party components. Programs written in Visual Basic can also use the windows api which allows custom programming.

Visual basic is a coding language that was developed and created by Microsoft; using their .Net Framework. The language enables people to code windows applications, applications for websites and applications on a windows phone. Because it is based on the .Net Framework it does not work on other operating systems such as Mac OS X, IOS, Android, Etc. However Visual Basic is considered 'dead' by some people due to it not being developed by Microsoft anymore and people choosing the faster language C# because it is light-weight and is essentially an updated version of .net. However, due to students still being taught Visual basic, Microsoft still continues to add it to their free IDE (Integrated Development Environment) Visual Studio, the most recent being the 2019 release.
object.Print [ outputlist ]

Visual Basic 1.0 was introduced in 1991. The drag and drop design for creating the user interface is from a prototype form of generator developed by Alan Cooper and his company called Tripod. Microsoft contracted with Cooper and his associates to develop Tripod into a programmable form system for Windows 3.0, under the code name Ruby . Tripod did not include a programming language at all. Microsoft wanted to combine Ruby with the Basic language to create Visual Basic. Ruby also provided the ability to load dynamic link libraries containing additional controls
