Since our training, I have observed teachers using Mentimeter, Padlet, Answer Garden, & Board-Builder. This is is the quickest turn-around I have seen at Alvarado in terms of technology training to technology use!

I actually only use discovery ed for assigning movies and activities to my class that are relevant to content being taught. This is the most practical and least time consuming

Discovery Board: I am interested in using Discovery Boards for integration of Social Studies and Science in the classroom and for a home/school connection. I am in the process of creating a Science Board and have ideas for using it for Social Studies before the end of the school year.
Answer Garden: I may use Answer Garden as a component of my Discovery Boards.
I wasn't trained on the other strategies.

I primarily use Discovery Ed for video clips, but now I have become able to use Builder Boards that have already been created to enhance my lessons. I love the builder boards!

The day of our training on Web 2.0, I was able to immediately able to take some of this back and use it with my class. I now have set up my symbaloo page and my kids use it on a daily basis. I also have all my kids on DE. I can assign differentiated assignments to each student and have them work on this individually or in a small group. My kids and I also love using the videos and the interactive games on DE.

I use Discovery Education in my classroom for various subject areas. I have used the video clips, text book lessons and board builder. The day of training on Web 2.0 was very helpful and I was able to utilize the information in my classroom immediately. I have used symbaloo daily with my students. 1st grade teacher

We were able to work from a Discovery Education Board and use tools like Padlet, AnswerGarden, Educreations and various word cloud sites. It gave me a real way to integrate these tools into my classroom using the DE board. It was a really good way to keep them handy for the students to access easily. I really appreciated the modeling in my classroom with my actual students! It helped both them and me learn how to use the tools.

I have used answergarden and mentimeter. I built a new board and have begun putting together information for another board to use in Science. Teryl was a wonderful resource and showed me several short-cuts while she was presenting. 3rd Grade Teacher
