         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Chinese</strong><br>In NYC's China Town, you'll find the largest concentration of Chinese people in the western hemisphere.<br><br>Here, you'll find the best Chinese food. <br><br><em>This is the 2nd oldest in US (San Francisco first).  It began in the 1870's.  Because of discrimination, Chinese immigrants moved to a few blocks and opened grocery stores, restaurants and businesses. <br><br></em>Interesting Note:  It was mainly male until 1965. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Border cities have signs in both Spanish and English.  It has become more popular since the 1980's.  <br><br><em>Spanish has been spoken in the US since the 15th century.  Colonists settled in what would become CA, TX, AZ, NM, NV, CO and FL.  You will see bilingual signs in all of these states.  In TX, some signs are required to be in both! </em><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Cinco de Mayo!!!!<br><br>It's not Mexico's Independence Day as commonly thought, but a battle win. <br><br>PS-Mexico doesn't celebrate :(<br><br><em>Cinco de Mayo was first celebrated in the US in 1863 in Southern California to show solidarity to Mexico against France.  It spread to Latino communities in the US, and then became an unofficial US holiday. </em><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
