We do have campus beautification-each class has a planter that they are responsible for cleaning, weeding, etc. Additionally, we do school-wide clean-up days. This teaches students how to work cooperatively, take responsibility, and how to help our school stay clean and beautiful. We also have a recycling program where water bottles are collected and the money is used for 6th grade science camp. They have many food drives, as well as a Poly Bear Bowl where the special needs students play a football game with the student football players. The list goes on but as far as my own personal involvement, I need to do more. The skills of organizing and planning are long lasting. I know Corona at King does "King Remembers" with Vets and the program is phenomenal.
