Adeola is enthusiastic about learning the different parts of her body and can confidently identify basic parts such as her head, face, arms, and legs. She loves participating in action songs and movement activities, demonstrating growing control and coordination in her movements. She can throw a ball to a friend, and with continued encouragement and practice, her ball-catching skills will continue to improve. Adeola climbs up and down stairs with confidence and enjoys jumping over small objects with great enthusiasm. Well done, Adeola — keep up the fantastic effort!

Fine Motor:

Adeola’s fine motor skills are developing well. She is still learning to hold her crayon and paintbrush correctly, but with continued practice and guidance, she will master these skills. She enjoys playing with playdough and can cut it with scissors, although she is still refining her scissor grip. Painting is a favourite activity, especially when using a small brush and watercolours. Adeola is also making great progress with her tracing activities and continues to improve steadily.

Gross Motor:

Adeola engages in gross motor activities and participates enthusiastically in all physical tasks. She is progressing well and demonstrates a good sense of balance, which continues to improve with practice. Her favourite activity is crawling through the tunnel and she enjoys playing with her friends as they hit the ball with a bat. Her dance moves have developed beautifully — she especially loves dancing and moving along to “If You’re Happy and You Know It.” Well done, Adeola! We are so proud of you!

Adeola is developing well in her visual perceptual skills. She shows good awareness of movement and enjoys observing birds and butterflies during outdoor play. She can confidently match colours and shapes when asked and takes pleasure in building puzzles, managing a three-piece puzzle with ease. Adeola is learning to focus her attention for longer periods and can recognise familiar pictures in books as well as objects in her environment. With continued exposure to visual games and activities, she will further strengthen her visual perception skills.

Adeola listens attentively during morning ring-time discussions and remains focused when participating in songs and rhymes such as “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.” She follows simple instructions with growing confidence and is learning to respond appropriately to familiar environmental sounds, such as an aeroplane or helicopter flying overhead. Adeola enjoys listening to stories and can identify familiar animal sounds, including those of a cat and a duck. She shows great excitement when hearing the sounds of sea creatures and responds promptly when her name is called. Keep it up, Adeola — you are doing so well!

Adeola is enthusiastic about participating in creative art activities and expresses herself freely through drawing, painting and making collages. She can tear paper with ease; such a superstar! She loves exploring and enjoys using different coloured crayons when colouring in. Adeola shows curiosity when working with various materials such as paint, tea leaves and sand. She especially enjoys cutting playdough with scissors, and with practice she will learn to hold them correctly. Adeola has lots of fun expressing her creativity while playing in the sand and happily engages in drawing patterns with her fingers.

She finds great joy in learning and singing new number songs and rhymes, such as “Five Little Ladybugs.” She still needs some encouragement to recognise and identify numbers, but with continued practice, she will master this skill. Adeola has made wonderful progress and can identify some colours and shapes, such as a star, circle, and heart. She recognises colours including red, yellow, blue, pink, and purple. She enjoys tracing patterns in shaving cream and can trace numbers with a crayon on her worksheet with assistance.
