Because of you, I was able to resonate with someone about English Literature.

I will still remember the first poem you taught me, 'If'.
"If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two imposters just the same."

Because of you, English class was fun and writing was beyond grammar and good vocabulary.

Writing was about experiencing feelings and translating them into the ink on paper.

I will always remember that when I am writing.

"Be unique."
To be not afraid to stand apart from the crowd. I will not forget how that piece of advice opened up so many opportunities to my life.

Thank you for your car rides to and from competitions and back home. Thank you for your kind and encouraging words.

I hope your life after retirement be as exciting and fulfilling as you always dreamed it would be.
