I am a Roman Catholic. I went to catholic school from 2nd grade to 8th grade and was very involved with the church and sports. I was an altar server on Sundays too. As I got older I did not practice my faith as much, but since I had my daughter baptized as Roman Catholic in 2019 we have been going to church on Sundays.

The biggest cultural experience I had was marrying into a Greek Orthodox family. My husband grew up speaking Greek at home and English at school. So when I first met my father in law he only spoke Greek and we had fun trying to communicate, but I have since picked up on a lot of the Greek ques and their family traditions.

Being raised a female, I was always told I could do anything I put my mind to and not to let gender play a role in my abilities. This is something my parents were so passionate about and it made me really believe in myself and what I could do as a female.

My mom is 1 or 10 and my dad is 1 of 6 so growing up my extended family was a huge part of my life. I have 52 cousins and I couldn't live without them!

I grew up in the middle class which was a tad different than my friends who were in catholic school that grew up pretty wealthy. My parents always tried to keep up with everything I wanted, but they also made sure to remind me that materialistic items don't hold value over our family and how important we are for each other.
