The Roaring Twenties are when were more Americans were living in cities than farms and there was a good political change and a social change. The people would sing dance listen to their favorite music and from the coast people would bring the same goods. But instead of more celebration for the good times it brought more conflict from some people. But for some people the roaring twenties were the best part of their lives and said that they were indeed “roaring”.

The type of music that was most popular was Jazz because people during the roaring twenties just wanted to dance to different songs, music, etc. Some of the different types of dances were:”the Charleston, the cakewalk, the black bottom, the flea hop. Some different types of Jazz bands would play in train Stations and on radio stations. “100 million of records were sold in 1927 alone”. Some older people didn’t like Jazz music they said it was “vulgarity” and “depravity”. But a lot of the teenagers, kids, some young adults really liked the music so they can express themselves with dance. This influence the people to express themselves more with the music and feel free.

3.What was the culture like? How did the Roaring 20’s influence women?

The culture during the Roaring Twenties were very well Most Americans had extra money to spend during the 1920’s which to me was a good thing. The one thing almost everyone has was a radio “by the end of the 1920’s there were radios in more than 12 million households.”. A lot of people during the 1920’s went to the movies a lot. “ They one car on the road for every 5 Americans. The Roaring Twenties influence women by making some women doing “unladylike” things and dressing sort of inappropriate. But when women were finally able to vote they got better jobs and with the technology making process they got it made some of the housework much easier for them.
