Hi! I am the person who created the pangea padlet for you studiers out there. But other people want something interesting, so i created the Android V.S. Apple contest to see who is better. And for you people out there who like Apple better than Android, i'm going to do one of those too. So lets get started with the background!

Android was originally created by Linux Kernel, which was a free software and computer programming company, made in 1991 by Finnish computer scientist Linus Torvalds. Android was still a work in progress in 2005 which is when Google stopped funding Linux Kernel and eventually bought Android in the same year. In 2007, Android was advertised worldwide, and in October 2008, the first Android-operated phone was sold. Android soon became a worldwide sensation, with its high-tech programming, low cost, and ready use. Android also was compatible with many other companies and programs, which made it even better. In October 2012, Android had approximately 700,000 apps available for Android users to download from the Google Play app. So far, Samsung has been leading the world with Android, getting an 80% share in the global smartphone market.
