What you should be cautious is, first, accomodation. You should choose a hotel for staying with a higher standard of accomodation. Having a cheap inn doesn't mean you'll save more budget, because the safety of your stuffs is not well-guaranteed since it's one of the highest city in scale of crimes for tourists. Secondly, you should not trust local people who offer you as a tour guide or just ask you to eat in their houses, there are many scammers in that place. Third, when you want to try local food, you should choose a restaurant or a decent place to eat rather than eating on the street, because it may not be hygienic. Well, in short, you just have to know what is safe for you but don;t be too cautious about everything. Have fun and stay safe!
