I was involved in group activities and projects that worked really well and I learned a lot from them, but I was also involved in some group activities which were absolutely terrible Largely because of the classic problem of having my grade depend on one or two other people who weren't carrying their load or being in a group on a subject that I didn't feel like I could help with enough so that I didn't feel like someone earned my grade for me. That said, I've always seen the potential benefits of group work and have tired it several times to varying success.
