- The "unsinkable"ship made many stops until the Titanic scraped an iceberg and sunk in the Atlantic on the way to New York.
-Too little safety boats because the creator was over confident on how unsinkable the Titanic was.
-Women and children were evacuated, but the men had to stay behind.
-The Titanic wreckage was found in 1985, 74 years after the sinking.

What I want to know:
-Why did the captain and crew not see the iceberg coming?
-How did a small collision cause such a big catastrophe?
-Did any of the men that were forced to stay on the ship survive?
-What was the life on the Titanic like?
-How did each class (1st class, 2nd class, 3rd class) on the boat differ?

What I learned:
-There was a fire before the voyage, but the captain went on anyways, so the water got in when the weak spot was hit with the iceberg.
-Another ship sent a message that there was in ice field where the Titanic was going, but it never got received.
-When an urgent message was finally received from a nearby ship, it was really close, so it was loud and they said that they should keep quiet and that they were busy.
-The density of the air camouflage the iceberg, so they didn't see it.
Bacteria is eating away the metal of the wreckage.

the staff had to remain clam during it sinking.
the boat left from England.
i think it sank for around 2 hours.

how the people in different classes where treated.
what the grand staircase was made out of.
how much it was in all.
what the survivors did after.
how did the life boats not sink too because doesn't the Atlantic ocean have rough waves?

It hit a glacier, but that wasn't the only reason it sank. Days before it went down, there was a fire in the coal bunkers. It left part of it burned out and damaged. The owner of the Titanic said that they should go on the trip anyways because people were paying a lot of money to be on the ship. So the glacier combined with the fire, sank the Titanic.

It was said to be unsinkable, and the ship had an unrealistic amount of lifeboats to hold the population of people that the cruiser would be traveling with. They did this to make the ship look more impressive, and prettier. They risked the safety of the passengers for the grandeur of the ship. Hey, did you know that the founder of Hershey (Milton Hershey) was originally supposed to be traveling on the Titanic, however changed his plans because of business? (Thank heavens! We might not have Hershey bars!) Anyway, the cruise ship set out April 11th, 1912 but late on the 14th  the ship hit an iceberg on the starboard side. In a matter of less then 2 and a half hours, the ship had broke in half and sunk under the sea. Roughly 1,500 people died, and only 700 people lived. It was one of the most tragic events of the early 20th century.
