Our Response: 1. An overall increase in disrespect to woman using them as sex objects. 2. It could open the doors to marital infidelity and divorce. 3. A general lowering of moral standards. 4. The MeToo movement says that our sexual culture is fundamentally broken and often violent. People are dehumanized and used as objects of desire in a sexual marketplace.

2. Pornography dominates the internet and the script for Western sexual encounters. It has done so in ways that normalize hookups, violence against women and even sex between family members.

3. The sex created by this culture has led to more sexually-transmitted infections, not fewer.

#2. In the end, in a general way, why does the author suggest that people might be more receptive to Humanae Vitae now than when it was originally published?
Answer: People are realizing the negative effects and do not want to suffer the consequences.

#3 a. Why do you think the Church’s teaching on artificial contraception is rejected by so many people?
Answer: It is rejected by so many people because governments often promote it, and what people perceive is be normal are seen all over advertising, TV, media, internet, and movies. They hear what the Church says, but they are followers of what “everyone else” is doing.

Negative Effects on Women
Point 4: Women are realizing the consequences and avoiding what could be good. taking birth control often can be bad for your health and have negative affects on your body. so by people taking birth control this damages their body which will affect them later in their life.
LDC's vs. MDC's fertility

Point 5: because of education in less developed countries the women are less educated to know would happen and the consequences. In more developed countries they know the consequences and a better education to understand what would happen.

Point 6: people who has sexual intercourse before marriage could end up with a child. This is not a bad thing by any means life is good but in their eyes this is a bad thing. there are options however like adoption, but when having a child at a young age can be scary, so people choose abortion. this is bad because they are killing a helpless child and taking a life and this could have been avoided if they had just waited till they were ready for a child.

People accept this teaching because it is the only natural way to have a rationally planned family.

What? It is now common to save for people to themselves and wait till marriage because of their current responsibilities.
