In the eyes of the British, this was something they saw that was very hurtful and disrespected. All the little fights ultimately led to the Revolutionary War. They fought for many years, until it was no longer benefiting the British and they backed out. This impacts us because we now have freedom and are our own country, ruled by none other than ourselves.

They had just gone through war and won. They decided to make a document, declaring that they were no longer owned or ruled by Britain. This was upsetting for the British to see, because they were losing the thing they would make a lot of profit off of. They had to create this document in secret, so that no one would find out and get caught. It was approved on July 4th, 1776 which is known as independence day. It was later officially signed and implemented on August 2nd, 1776. This is important today because of the same reason as the American Revolution. It has helped us become our own country and what is known today as the United States of America.

It was first signed by Delaware in December in 1787. It was later followed by Massachusetts and so on. It was lastly signed by the president at the time and was officiated. It took 4 years to complete this because many people of the states believed that there was some things that were unfair. After a while it was implemented and ratified. This helps us because without this, would would have to be under the control of another country. We wouldn't be able to have some of the benefits or rights we have today.
