question 3, in the very beginning when we are first reading the book they Jeannette is doing really good in her life and her parents are homeless. i think she was telling us this because she wants us to know how they end up and then tell the story of what they did in the rest of the story.
question 8, i think that suspense is created in a lot of scenes of the book. a lot of the time in the book they would be on the run, or when the hotel got caught on fire, or like when Jeannette fell out of the car an her parents did come back for her for a while.
question 9, i would like to know more about her parents before they got married if they had that mid set while they were dating and when the got married.

Question 3- I didn't really like the things we read you know because of the way i grew up. you getting hit in school your teacher isn't normal to me but to Mrs.grainger it is he told us that he got hit at school by his vice principal

Question 5- i guess the struggle of money you know maybe most people go through it but my family did have it hard financially, we always had a roof over our head but we did struggle paying bills and stuff.

Question 1- Social class really affects them in the book. finding homes depend on thier social class and how they work and stuff . the kids are starting to become older and mature and they can finally see how things in their life are they are starting to realize thier families struggle with money.

"We called the kitchen the loose-juice room, becuase on the rare occasions that we had paid the electricty bill and had power we'd get a wicked electric shock if we touched any damp or metallic surface." this quote really shows the condition of thier house usually when you pay your bills you shouldn't be getting zapped. and its just thier life they have gotten use to it

i'm choosing education because their grandma erma isn't really educated um also their dad that drinks and lot, but erma did something bad to brain and thought it was okay to hit jeannette wals when she got caught not taking responsibility for her actions

the grandma is a child molester, and the dad not believing the kids even thought he doesn't like his mom either really botherd me. and everyone jut=st listens and follows the grandma even though she is a bad person. i honestly hated the grandma a lot because she was not a respectable person and all the things she would say and do.

In these chapters that we read this week, i feel like i could kinda relate to the Jeannette and her siblings, my parents are from mexico and they were raised differently and so my dad's parents never really showed him how to love, he had to work and then his dad died so his family was hard on him to work for their family, he just had it hard and so now my older sister kinda teaches him that he can't say things because its rude or he doesn't think the see as us and he has a tougher mindset which i can kinda feel the same frustration that Jeannette feels with her dad my dad doesn't drink like that but we can relate around that type of stuff.

I believe that education really played a role in this week, we got to see the way the dad acted, we know that is family really wasn't great but his children show a good example that the family you come from doesn't have to affect the way you act. and take responsibility or know right from wrong. in this week we can really see how the kids were able to get jobs or go pace and make friends find was to help out around the place. and just overall have a good education. they grew up to be good people and learned how to mature.

"you're in a horse race but you're thinking like a sheep. sheep don't win horse races" Jeannette walls- the glass castle , Rex walls, page 227. Jeannette was having a hard time and her dad was talking to her and gave her this metaphor. i think this quote stood out to me because its like hes telling us that we can't be afraid or worried and we have to be confident in our work to be successful.

8- Jeannette walls is starting to speak up to her mom and dad about their behavior. she also is starting to get more frustrated with them especially her dad. I believe that this reveals how she is starting to realize that the way her parents act is not okay and this shows how her physiological state is starting to take affecting and she isn't really going put up with her parents behavior.

i really loved this book, it made me think of things that i can do and how she overcame a lot of things. have the strength that she had to go through all those years of trails was a really had things that i don't think i could overcome. i think that this memoir has helped me realize a lot and someways that people have ot harder, i know that I go through trails but not like Jeannettes and she was still able to be married and York a job she set her mind on going to new York and she did i think getting out of situations you know you need to get out of is important because you won't find yourself. you won't love yourself sticking to what is right and having to o things for your self is okay. i think that Jeannette really did the right thing by leave and not letting her parents stay at her house when they needed help because i do not think that she would have ever been able to separate from her parents and being ble to see that you need to take things for yourself is not being selfish and having that strength to get out is a really brave thing and you can grow and you will.
