The car is driven by one person, and in a heat 10 to 15 cars drive along. Typically, an event consists of multiple motos for different classes, including the Sprint classes. In a moto points can then be earned for a place in the final. In the final, the points are awarded for the respective championship. Various championships are: regional/club championship(KNAF/club) national championship(KNAF\Sonak/club) international championship (autocross masters held in NL, BE, DE) European Championship (FIA) Autocross is practiced at different levels in the Netherlands. There are several clubs that organize their own championship or participate in regional championships. The KNAF also organizes an official Dutch Championship. Autocross is, measured by the number of participants, the most popular form of motorsport in the Netherlands. No other branch of sport has more licensees within the KNAF. In the KNAF regulations there are the following classes: Junior buggy (sprint class from 13 to 21 years) Junior class (production cars from 13 to 18 years) Division V (front-wheel drive production cars) Division A (rear-wheel drive production cars) Touring car class (production cars, anything goes) Beetle class (based on the VW Beetle) Sprint 1600 (2wd homebuilt cars up to 1600 cc) Sprint 2000 (2wd homebuilt cars up to 2000 cc) Super class (2- and 4wd homebuilt cars up to 4000 cc) Free standard class (4wd homebuilt cars based on a production car)
