The oldest wooden ski was found in Russia 5000 BCE. Especially the Scandinavia use the ski to move in the snow because their village were placed far away from each other. In the 8th Century the Wikings wanted attack Norway. But despite more soldiers, they lose the fight against Norway. The Norway fighter were equipped with skis so they are faster as the Vikings. Also later the ski has were important for the army in the northern countries.
In the 18th Century ski are used the first time for fun. It was developed different types of skiing like alpine, free ride, racing, and park skiing. In 1991 the first carving ski was released on the market.
