         <description><![CDATA[<div>WHAT MOTIVATE MY STUDENTS<br><br>I will start with teacher familiarity with students as this makes many of them closer to the teacher and they tends to share whatever that is not clear to the teacher including the family problems which hinder them from acquiring the message/subjects taught them in the class.Because how do you expect an hungry students to learn when teaching but you can only know this when you are close to the students.<br>Secondly,teaching students with our local dialect/language pave room for quick and permanent retainment of knowledge in classroom teaching as many of them are not conversant with big grammar used by classroom teacher there by make the students to loose much interest in such subject and the teacher.<br>Thirdly, we do flog or beat students with cane here in most public school with the management order and students tends to hate teachers who flogged them all the time either they are wrong or right but in my own case ,i only does that occasionally and i do let them realize why such happened .Immediately after that,i did correct them so that they would&nbsp; not see me as a wicked teacher. In a nut shell,students hate teachers and the subjects taught by them due to there harshness .<br>Fourthly,teacher that can quickly reverse his action when the students offend him/her make progress and achieve all his her stated behavioral objectives when students are evaluates via test or exam as they would want to impress the teacher.<br>Fifthly,good reward by the government,parents,NGO'S, private sectors to the outstanding students from the poor family or orphanage home etc would also ginger and change many students to put in their best. Though ,the reverse was the case here in Nigeria.<br>Inclusively,availability or adequate job/ employments opportunity for graduates of higher learning would also motivate the young ones since they are all aspiring to be someone in the society because this is a big factor hindering the less privileged parents in educating their kids as we have many jobless graduates fed by their parents after about 15-19 years of schooling.<br>Teachers salaries and other benefits paid as at when dues would also make the teachers perform their own role and quota in teaching the students the right way there by reduced if cannot be totally curbed the involvement of teachers in examination malpractice which serve as another source of income for teacher to supplement their income.I am telling you that a fresh graduate salary working with Nigeria Government is around 125 US Dollars . Conclusively,good learning environments,paying teachers salaries as at when due and some other benefits,scholarship for the orphans or students from poor background,adequate job opportunities and many others are responsibilities of the government,NGO'S and the well wishers to make us regain our lost glory lost on our education sector here in Nigeria so that our standard of education can meet up with the advanced nations.<br>Thanks<br><br><br><br>Agoro Adesile<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Agoro, as far as I can see the physiological needs (for food) and safety (if teachers beat students, they won't feel safe) are neglected in Nigeria. (see Maslow's pyramid above). That's why students are not able to reach the highest step- to feel the need for self- actualization ( to feel the desire to learn soething new, to achieve some results, to self-develop).<br>And if you can hardly do anything with the first issue (hunger), you can change the situation with the second one (and not to beat students anymore).</div>]]></description>
