         <description><![CDATA[<div>Prophase I - Chromosomes become visible and crossing over occurs.<br>Metaphase I - The pairs of chromosomes become arranged on the metaphase plate.<br>Anaphase I - two pairs of chromosomes separate and start moving toward opposite poles of the cell.<br>Telophase I/Cytokinesis - The homologous chromosome pairs reach the poles of the cell, nuclear envelopes form around them, and cytokinesis follows to produce two cells.<br>Prophase II - the nuclear envelope breaks down and the spindle apparatus forms.<br>Metaphase II - The chromosomes become arranged on the metaphase plate and are attached to the now fully formed spindle.<br>Anaphase II - The centromeres separate and the sister chromatids—now individual chromosomes—move toward the opposite poles of the cell.<br>Telophase II/Cytokinesis -  A nuclear envelope forms around each set of chromosomes and cytokinesis occurs, producing four daughter cells, each with a haploid set of chromosomes.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Prophase - Chromosomes become visible, the nucleolus disappears, the mitotic spindle forms, and the nuclear envelope disappears.<br>Metaphase - the microtubules of the spindle have attached and the chromosomes have lined up on the metaphase plate.<br>Anaphase - During anaphase, the sister chromatids are pulled apart and move toward opposite poles of the cell.<br>Telophase -  During this phase, the sister chromatids reach opposite poles. The small nuclear vesicles in the cell begin to re-form around the group of chromosomes at each end.</div>]]></description>
