As part of this topic, students explored the importance of prayer within Islam and the role of prayer mats in providing a clean and special space for worship. They then applied their understanding creatively by designing their own prayer mats.

Through this activity, students:

• Learned about Islamic beliefs and practices

• Explored patterns, symmetry, and geometric design

• Developed an appreciation for cultural and religious diversity

• Reflected on the meaning behind their own designs

We were very impressed with the thoughtfulness and creativity shown in their work. Many students carefully considered colour, pattern, and symbolism in their designs.

Next week I look forward to sharing our final Ofsted report with you all, the draft version highlights the wonderful students we have here and the shared community vision of kindness.
