Gaming has it's negatives of course it will, with everything consumer based there will always be an array of negatives. In addition when gaming is brought into conversation people are quick to assume and not critically analyse, gaming may have it's fair share of negative connotations but it's important to understand the benefits, if regulated effectively, gaming should be a complete opposite of what the media portrays about it.

First and foremost, gaming is a distinctive way of communicating, being an owner of a gaming console allows a consumer terrific amounts of options. Gaming consoles in this day and age all come pre loaded with applications, such as; Youtube, Netflix, Spotify ect. Even an application store is provided, depending on which console you have you may be limited to a minority of applications. In retrospect personally I have had innumerable amounts of times where owning a console allowed me to communicate effectively with my peers, just having the ability to speak to other players around the world grants the competence to make friends; it's a unique way of networking and if used responsibly it can be a great prospect for yourself.

Within the media gaming is always being slandered, numerous articles, headlines surrounding this controversy. However if the same people who criticised this art form; where to try and conform to ideally the new generations way of consuming time, I think a lot of people would be surprised. I think it's essential for people who have unyielding beliefs against "gaming" to just empathise drastically. People just have to know that gaming is a concept that is definitely going to stay with the world for many generations to come, so to the people who heavily critique such a thing; just get used to it!

In hindsight, as the world has seen a prodigious incline in gaming over a certain period of time; this increase has amounted in frequent stereotypical controversy.
