In our flipped classroom, I relied on them to come prepared, having read the material, ready to dive into application and discussion. 

"We're on a journey to decode the intricacies of research," I began each session, hoping their preparation was adequate. 

As we delved into the theories, I noticed a disconnect. Were they truly grasping the practical application of these theories? 

I introduced case studies, hoping to bridge the gap between theory and practice. But the uncertainty remained - were they pre-reading the material or merely skimming through it?
