There was three teams that where split up  and Peter part was 
to go get the gold. Then bring it back to the mountain so they can put it in the cave. Peter was a leader and his job was to make sure that everybody gets back in the air-rate shelter after getting the gold.

 start of story is here ----> peter said " well why do we take the gold down to the mountain if you you can't sail away? i should think it'd be safer were it is." he was told not to question uncle victor and in the military you do what they said with no questions asked. then victor started to explain that they need to sled at different times to not be suspicious. then he asked if peter could ask the fisherman to find stuff out about the cost and if your not here spoiler 4 kids will take gold to the snake that day and there's 2 victors in this book 😁 uncle victor was talking to a goop of people and explaining what there going to do he said to hide the gold by two fallen trees
some one else said "well what are you waiting for? 😑 you know were the cave is or what ever it is" oh and this is not part of the story but marry Christmas 🎅🏻 in the story peter made people swear to not say a word about the thing there doing they walked out side and peter saw a strange lite per garson was racing madly around  then peter got to thor's rock and the place the cave have bin and he got a surprise of his life...
