**This is your example for reference. The expectation is that your posts will look like this!**

ECONOMIC

Summary: The Salton Sea is a man-made lake in Southern California that is created from farm runoff from the Colorado River. This lake is highly toxic due to the pesticides and chemicals in the water. This hasn't always been the case, as it has historically been a tourist destination and nature reserve for migrating birds. But, as the lake has dried up, it has become much more toxic. Today, fish are dying, birds aren't returning, and surrounding communities are experiencing health issues such as asthma.

Analysis: This has traditionally been a tourist destination, but people are not visiting anymore because of the shrinking water level and toxic chemicals. Many of the towns have closed as people have moved away, and there are far less jobs available. There is now a lot of poverty in the area and the only people left are the ones who can't afford to move away. Many of the people are experiencing expensive health issues and will have to find a way to cover the costs. It is going to be incredibly expensive to fix many of these issues and the cost will most likely fall on taxpayers in California. It's estimated to cost $90 BILLION to restore this area and return water to the Salton Sea.

Political

In California the water is so bad that you can smell it so the state said that “This is going to be a way of life. We’ve got 300,000 people coming to southern California every year. They’re going to need water, too. We have to conserve in every way that we can if we want to continue our way of life.” Also they are enforce new city ordinances.
