         <description><![CDATA[<div>Broadly no, the presence of others always influences our behaviours.<br><br>Governed by normative social influence - individual public complies despite privately disagreeing with the actions<br><br>Informational social influence - due to the ambiguity of the situation, we look towards others/majority for cues on how to act<br><br>Our need to be accepted fuels our response towards conformity and our fear of rejection leads us to go with the majority. Need for acceptance can be seen from an evolutionary perspective where if you were rejected from the majority (community), you would be less likely to survive<br><br>Examples of non-conformative behaviour - lady at MBS who refused to wear a mask despite prevailing SMM restrictions<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Actor-observer bias - for e.g you might pin the fault on you failing the exam because of situational conditions whereas others might have failed because they are not hardworking/smart<br><br>Self-serving bias - attributing our successes to our own effort but negative ones to the environment for e.g you do well during the exam cause of your hard work but if you don't do well you pin it on maybe environmental factors<br><br>How this can be resolved is with the conscious knowledge of these biases we can actively act against them in situations and be objective in our decision making by considering situational factors</div>]]></description>
