He lacked social actitivity which shows great signs when his monster came to life that he'd show signs of shock and possibly felt overwhelmed that his plan worked. It felt as if that he was expecting the plan to fail and was preparing for the worst outcome to occur. As the opposite outcome, Victor felt stuck in his emotions.
