Something I learned from the article is that at the time, white men believed everything white women said with no questions asked. It really showed what the beliefs were during that time. This story is similar to TKAM because they both have to do about racism in two very similar situations. In TKAM a white woman said a black man did something to her and he was immediately seen as guilty just because of the color of his skin.

TKAM shows similarities to Till's case due to the racial elements and the disrespect to the other color.

It's just disgust me how someone could kill someone, admit to it, and still get away with it. It's just sad that people had to go through things like this just because of their skin color. And it really just showed me how unfair the court system was. Just like in how to kill a mockingbird, when the man talks about how they should take his word about what happened in a situation instead of actually bring justice to the situation.
