  I am Joshua Chin, from BSKL in year 5 (KS2).
  2020 was an unusual year for us. From going to school and seeing my friends almost everyday, overnight, we were forced to stay at home to avoid the pandemic.
  My art shows a human hand trying to connect to the world through a robotic hand.  Thank god for "strong" WiFi, iPad, Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, YouTube, emails and funny emojis. We could connect with my friends, family and attend school virtually so that I can keep up with learning and play. We even have PE classes on Google Meet.
  Technology keeps me occupied the whole day. My name is Jenna Liew and I am 8 years old.  I am a Year 3 student at The British International School Kuala Lumpur (BSKL).

This painting reflects the connections to my feelings and emotions before and during the pandemic.  
When I drew this picture, I thought of how happy I was and the freedom I use to have, playing with my friends and traveling to many interesting countries with my family.  I was indeed a cheerful child.
Since the pandemic, I sometimes feel gloomy.
Being able to connect with my feelings and express them to my understanding and lovely teachers always makes me feel better.
I pray that Covid 19 will end soon so as I can reconnect with my friends and teachers in person and take part in the many activities I so miss.
