His life is very hectic with him being a lawyer, and he seems to be stressed a lot, but he is a very hard worker and he wants to give his kids the best life possible

He is not very successful. His first case lead to the death penalty. He was unlucky though because his clients were ignorant. His breakthrough is with the Tom Robinson case, but he knows he will be unable to win due to the fact that he knows that the Justice System in Alabama is very biased.

I definitely think Atticus has a different way of parenting, yet I think these ways are still effective, and are great ones for Jem and Scout. He has encouraged Jem and Scout throughout their life to learn new things, and be curious, and though this has made him a bit lenient, we still see him being strict, which is why both Jem and Scout are well mannered. For example, when Scout was complaining to Atticus about Calpurnia, he made it extremely clear that what Calpurnia says is right, and her words are orders. He didn't let Scout argue with him, and was strict at that moment, which good parents definitely should be.

Atticus isn't a regular simple father due to the circumstances in his time. He's lost his wife, and thus affected how he would nurture his children. The Great Depression forces the father to stress upon the children, the meaning of value, which many children don't worry now. Other than that, he tries to a parent who teaches his children through their experiences.

He teaches them morality by talking with them and communicating why his ideas make sense, rather than always saying "This is the way it is and always has been." He also practices what he teaches, like telling his kids to be accepting of everyone while accepting everyone himself. He does a good job understanding what Jem and Scout think and why they think that way, allowing him to treat them with respect and be respected by his kids without ever having to lay a hand on them. He's done a great job raising them not through force, but through logic and reason, and making sure that everything he does has an overall positive impact on his kids. He seems like an ideal parent for raising his kids well and communicating everything that needs to be communicated to them while giving them room to grow.

Atticus is a great citizen because he was willing to take on Tom Robinson's trial when no one else would, and he endured being called names and having his kids shamed upon. This really shows how courageous he is and responsible he is as a citizen.

He serves his duty as a citizen of our nation by being respectful and helpful to all, and willingly serves for our community (We can see that a lot of this ties in with Atticus being a good neighbor and lawyer) For example, when Miss Maudie's house was on fire, he went right in to help her. We also see that he helps in the community, as he serves in the state legislature. Finally he is respectful to all, and the race of a person does not negatively impact his thoughts about them, as he was one of the only that was fine with defending an African American, Tom Robinson.

I think that Atticus is a very good lawyer. I think that he is always respectful and that he never tries to do something that would break any kind of law. Also I think that what he does as a lawyer carries into what he does at home and how he teaches the children to behave. I like the way that he thinks about a client and also people in general because he never seems to judge people by there race, or "family history" but, he judges them on their actions and words. I think that this is a very important thing to do because by doing this he can analyze the charateristics of the opposition and that way get better prepared.

Atticus is a good, respectful, and unbiased lawyer. He is always thinking about others rights. Atticus is always honest. He is brave as a layer because he took a case for a black man and supported him. He was did not care about what others thought or said about him. He is always willing to follow the law but sometimes he wants to bend the law a little as he thinks about how unfair the Jim Crow Laws are to blacks. He never tries to judge a person by their race or their culture.

Atticus is a model citizen. He is nice to everyone around him and he always makes sure to tell Scout and Jem to be respectful to everyone around them. Clearly, he also represents black people in court as a lawyer, which was very uncommon for many people in the South at this time. That is a very respectable thing to do. He truly is quite a character.
