Adrien Instead of using feet to describe the trees with in feet or meters around the tree theauthor describes the distance around the tree as children. The author wrote this passage to inform us about redwood trees. The author states that "if you join hands with twenty other children you might be able to complete a full circle around the tree.A redwood tree is so big it's as big as a 30 story building. As the tree grows its bottom leaves die and the leaves that are on top live.A redwood tree gets water with its leaves from the air.The author states "if a storm hits the tree won't fall down because it's roots are tangled in the other trees so the Trees won't fall down.Is the tree can't withstand the storm it could break and another tree can form where the stump is.redwood trees where around when the dinosaurs where around.A redwood tree could get up to 20,000 years old!Redwood trees are mostly found on the west coast of the United States. If a redwood seed would be protected it could get to be 20,000 years old.

Alejandero The Author describes the distance of the height and width of the tree like it takes 20 kids to make a hole circle and the author said ((The tree is thirty feet tall.)) The redwood tree gets water from the air because in the trees environment the air is moist so it doesn't need to worry. Another fact about this tree is that if the top of the tree is off the stem the stem can grow another part of the tree to survive in the wilderness. Next is that the trees lower branches can't get, that much sun light because it's to low. And after that the lower branch dies. The author wrote this because he wanted to show us the truth about the tree by telling us facts about the tree. The last fact is that the tree can live for 20000 years. The author added cause and effect . Last fact of the days is that the tree Wights around 12,000 and 13,000 pounds. And three we're

The author described redwood tees height and width by describing it with words and details instead of feet. Instead of the author using feet to describe the width he said that if you join hands with 20 other children, then you could make the base of a redwood tree. The author described the height of a redwood without feet or meters by saying that a redwood tree can grow as tall as a building with thirty floors. I think the author didn't use meters or feet to describe redwood trees because when the author says redwoods can grow as tall a thirty story building, you can really imagine how tall are you that is.

The athur tells you how tall the redwood trees can grow to.When a branch falls off of the redwood trees it can grow back to the redwood trees and it is a fact.20 children can form around just one redwood tree.
