The redwood tree gets water from the air because in the trees environment the air is moist so it doesn't need to worry. Another fact about this tree is that if the top of the tree is off the stem the stem can grow another part of the tree to survive in the wilderness. Next is that the trees lower branches can't get,that much sun light because it's to low. And after that the lower branch dies. The author wrote this because he wanted to show us the truth about the tree by telling us facts about the tree. The last fact is that the tree can live for 20000 years.
