         <title>Convergente: Os movimentos convergentes acontecem quando as placas tectônicas se chocam. Normalmente uma das placas desliza por baixo da outra, para o interior da astenosfera e esse movimentos são responsáveis pelos terremotos, que por sua vez ocasionam deslizamentos de terra e alterações no relevo.</title>

         <title>Transformante: Ocorre quando duas placas se deslocam lateralmente. Como a força de atrito é muito grande, as rochas sofrem grandes deformações que podem causar terremotos. Um bom exemplo desse tipo de movimento é a falha de Santo André, na Califórnia.</title>
