My students begin their day by choosing what they want to do (dance party, yoga, chromebooks, reading, anything as long as they are being safe). After announcements and CNN10, students then complete a silent work time. Again, students are allowed to work on anything of their choosing wherever they want to be, but it has to be silent. Students love this time and they say it’s a great way to start their day. This also gives them responsibility and independence in their learning.
