In conclusion, it is without a doubt that Cesar Chavez held a very important influence over the farmworkers in Oxnard and why these two are associated with one another. He pushed to organize peaceful protests and boycotts in Oxnard demanding better working conditions and wages for farmworkers. We learned from the quotes that through the CSO, he was able to do this and much more. He was determined to work towards having voter registration and citizenship classes for those who struggled with these issues in the Mexican community. He wanted to be able to give them all an independent political voice in their community and to not be reliant on someone else's leadership other than their own.
