This piece represents my topic because it is about sadness and someone experiencing mental illness. In the song, they are wanting to commit suicide. The tone of this piece is hope because it is told from the perspective of someone trying to offer someone support. In the beginning of the song, it's saying " I want to die" and the person on the other end is saying " you don't have to die, I want you to be alive." In this song, Logic is trying to save people's lives. One part of the piece the best represents Logic's feelings about hope is "you don't gotta die, I want you to be alive." Overall, the message of this piece is to help people that are struggling with mental health to get over their situation and prevent them from killing themselves. This piece represents represents my topic because it brings up reasons why people are sad and stuff that makes people sad. The tone of this piece is rejection and you can tell that because people are making fun of someone who has a mental disorder. The artist is trying to show that these words and making fun of people can hurt people and lead to certain mental disorders. You can tell that the artist feels that making fun of people is wrong and it hurts a lot of people. It's a big problem. One part of the piece that best represents the artist's feelings about rejection is the part that says "you look so anorexic" and that shows someone being rejected. This piece represents mental illness because a person is lonely and one reason might be because of their thoughts and what is going on in their head. The tone of this piece is gloomy because the person is alone and the have a depressing appearance as shown by them sitting by themselves on the bed with her arms crouched up like that.  The artist is trying to show that people being lonely can be bad thing because it can lead to depression and sadness. You can tell the artist feels that there are factors that make people lonely like if they are rejected, bullied or if people are not friends with them and reject them, or if they are in tough situations. One part of the piece that best represents the feelings of loneliness and gloom is the way she is sitting which can be described as her having her face to her knees and not wanting to talk. Overall, the message of this piece is that loneliness can lead to depression and people that are depressed need to seek help.
