2. If the u.s were to educate the filipinos it would not be fair because the u.s is governing them without their consent which could end badly for the u.s since their giving them no voice in anything, especially in taxes.

2.Trade
When you force someone to trade it costs most of the profits to secure that trade, and the profits are very small to begin with. So in order to trade you need both sides willing to trade.

Trade cannot be beneficial to everyone unless it is done voluntarily. 

Reason B  Anti-American 
When we were first writing the declaration of independence it is because we want to have a voice and not have another country deciding things for us. If we were to do this to the philippines we would basically being doing the same thing to them.
