I think it should be allowed, but should list all the possible ways it could go wrong like in medicine commercials to insure that people know the risk the gene editing can pose. We should set limits like only a certain amount of the population can do it so that humans don't mutate as a whole. Another reason to limit this is so people don't ruin or mess up their DNA.

I believe that gene editing should be permitted with humans because many positives include assistance with cancer prevention, plant growth, and a lot of other things. However there are negatives, but it doesn't make as much of an impact as the positives do. But yes, limits need to be set because without them, the technology we use to achieve gene editing could go overboard and might result in DNA concerns that will be hard to fix. It is a very precise procedure to do so, but it should be permitted with limits too.

I think that gene editing could be a wonderful option for people that really need it, such as younger children and babies with cancer. However, there are a lot of ways that gene editing could quickly turn bad, which is why we need to have restrictions. Many of the reasons why people want to have access to genome editing is because they have a lethal disease. In this way, it is ok to help them by rearranging some of their genes, but to make babies and other people more desirable is not an option.

I think it should be allowed because it is very helpful to take down diseases that kill many people a year. This technology could save millions of lives and allow people to live longer and happier. On the other side there are some possible negatives like microbe diseases, I think that we would be able to refine this technology well enough to prevent that. There is also a point that it might become a create your own baby type thing but we could ban that from happening because that could lead to genetic problems within the baby's body. So in summary I think that we could benefit as long as we regulate how gene therapy is being used.

I think that we should pursue gene editing because there are a lot more benefits than risks. I mean there are some risks like creating bad microviruses and if something bad happens with the gene editing, then it will get passed down. On the other hand is the benefits, and there's a lot of them. First, it could help with the health of babies and genetic sicknesses. Second, it can help with the problem of cancer by reprogamming immune cells. Lastly, it helps with curing genetic disorders that were caused by gene mutations. I think that there should be limitations because there's still a chance that something bad might happen and if you didn't have any limits on that then there would probably be a lot of people with mistakes in their editing.

I think gene Editing should be allowed in moderation, I think doctors should use it for diseases and hereditary affects like cancer, diabetes, etc. But I don't think we should be allowed to use it to "build a better baby" or edit our characteristics. I think it could be extremely helpful to the medical field but would not be beneficial to edit our looks.

In my opinion, I think that gene editing should be permitted with humans like us but we need to do it the proper way. My reason for that is because it would be a amazing option for humans that are in need for it, such as babies that have been diagnosed with cancer. But it could be a problem sometimes, which is why we need to use it the proper way.

I think that we should use it to help cure sickness and disease but not other stuff like making your children how you want them or doing it in any babys cause it might cause bad damage to them and it should only be used to cure stuff

Yes, I think gene editing should be allowed because of all the benefits, like children being resistant to some major diseases, it will also help prevent some forms of cancer, and it will cure many other sicknesses making humans stronger. Even though there are some negatives like something going wrong there are a lot more reasons why we should allow gene editing.

I think that gene editing should be allowed but it should have restrictions on what genes people can edit. It could be good to help people whose children would be born with a much higher chance of sicknesses and genetic malfunctions. It also ends up being used in bad ways instead of helping people. Also if you alter too many genes is it still the same person genetically or are their genes no longer theirs? If it is used to help people when their lives would be very difficult then it is good and should be done but should not go too far. There should be governmental guidelines.

I think that gene editing should be allowed because it could take down diseases, which could save millions of lives and allow them to live longer. Although it should have restrictions on what genes change, for example building a better person or editing someone's characteristic, because taking advantage to edit out looks, should not be permitted, instead used on medical field to save people's life.
