I get we as parents can talk and have questions that can go on for more then 10 mins but if it comes to the end of their time and they aren’t done I suggest teacher ask parents to email them, call them, etc or schedule another appointment. The idea with choosing a book for our child was great! I also loved being able to give our ideas for the monthly calendars. I think something we can do differently is being able to spend more time with the the homeroom teachers. I feel like I was rushed out of there, but still had questions. Overall, the whole experience was phenomenal and I felt a great connection with everyone. I have nothing but wonderful things to say, the activities planned for the children and for the parents were great. The passport was such a creative fun idea! I was disappointed that this was the first time she was being made aware of it. I had written about this in the initial letter we wrote about our children to the teachers at the beginning of the year and also mentioned it to her during open house. Differentiated instruction should have been applied since the beginning of the school year as my child’s learning background is not similar to most of the other children in their class.
