1 ـ السعودية واحدة من دول شبه الجزيرة العربية السبعة التي تشترك معها بحدود برية تصل الى 4430كم بخلاف حدودها البحرية التي تصل الى 560 كم مع الخليج العربي و1760 كم مع البحر الاحمر أي ان حدودها البرية تشكل عبئا من حيث توفير الامن والحماية لكنها تتمتع بعلاقات جيدة مع الدول المجاورة لها .
2 ـ تقع عند ملتقى قارات العالم الثلاث اسيا وافريقيا واوربا
3 ـ تشكل المملكة جزء من الموطن الاول للانسان ( شمالي افريقيا غربي اسيا ) مما ساعد على انتشار الجماعات البشرية
4 ـ هي مهد الدين الاسلامي
5 ـ يعد الاقليم الصحراوي معظم ارضها بحكم موقعها من دوائر العرض ويتصف هذا الاقليم بارتفاع الحرارة صيفا وانخفاضها شتاءا وندرة الامطار مما ادى الى قلة الغطاء النباتي والموارد الاقتصادية
6 ـ تطل على البحر الاحمر والخليج العربي لها عدة موانى منها ضبا وينبع والليث وجدة والقنفذة وجيزان على البحر الاحمر وراس تنورة وجبيل والدمام والعقير وسعود على الخليج العربي
