1. One of the areas in the AJHS life that needs improvement is our commitment to pray and attend mass. Most of us don't attend mass mainly because of laziness, and attending mass and praying more often, can deepen our relationship with God. Another is respecting the people around us more often since we are created in God's own image which is why we should respect one another as we respect God. 


2. We should respect each other more often as we are one big family of the church that serves God like one of the models of the church saying that the Church is a community of families. Another is by praying and attending mass more often as this is our commitment and mission to God like one of the models of the church saying that the Church is a community in mission.

For us, I think respecting each other more should be the the main priority in our dream. By doing this we get to deepen our relationship with eachother. We also get to build our trust and friendship with one another. Lastly, by respecting one another, we get to boost the confidence of the people around us that are in need of encouragement.

For this dream to be achieved in school, 1 contribution we can do is to Think before you speak. By doing this it improves our relationship with other people. Also it helps us express ourselves in a effective way. Another contribution that we can do in school is to respect each others opinion. By doing this we could boost the self-esteem of the people we are talking to. Also, by doing this they will feel like they are being listened to which will lead to them respecting you more.

For this dream to be achieved at home, 1 contribution that we can do is to lend a helping hand when the people around you need it. By doing this you get to bond more with the people you love. Also, by doing this you can improve your trust for each other and maintain a good and healthy bond. Another contribution that we can do at home is to be polite to the people you love. By doing this, you could really show the people around you that you really respect them. First and foremost, in my church, Our Lady of Assumption Parish in Malate Manila, I can say that the church is slowly going back to normal. That is because of how many people are attending mass every sunday especially when there is a significant event in the church. Another one is, according to CBCP News, one of the few good things that happened in our church is when Cebu Caritas turned over traditional shelters for 65 families. This shows that even through hard times, when people work together, we can build a better future for each other. Another good thing that happened is the the return of the traditional Black Nazarene procession. Devotees are able to strengthen their faith by attending the feast again. It is also an event that we value and that represents the Philippines.

I can relate the turning over of shelters for 65 families as the Church is Catholic because as this indicates, "reaches out to all members of all nations." It shows how love and compassion is manifested by giving shelters to the people of God, our neighbors. It lives out the meaning of Catholic which is universal or complete.  Subsequently, the return of the Black Nazarene procession signifies that the Church is Holy. This is because people are able show and nourish their faith for God once again. To fulfill this destiny concrete plans such as thinking before you speak, respecting each others opinion, lending a helping hand when the people around you need it, being polite to the people you love are some plans gotten from the design.

For us to realize our design, we still have a destiny to fulfill at home and at school. Influencing our peers to have a prayerful community allows us to live up to our catholic faith. Simple actions such as having times for prayer together whether it may be with our classmates or parents shows our faith as Catholics. When we pray we become one just as how the church is one. We pray as one community for the greater glory of God and that is our destiny as Catholics.

Going back to our plans of actions, we can relate them to sacraments as well.

For School:
Thinking before you speak can be connected to reconciliation as speaking before we think usually causes something worse and we end up asking for forgiveness in the end. This plan usually encompasses our classmates, schoolmates, and teachers which is best to be done daily.

Respecting others opinions can also be tied into the most recent sacrament we have received which confirmation. Respecting others is one of God's calling, and confirmation is our call to follow God's voice. Once again this encompasses classmates, schoolmates, and teachers which is done everyday.

At Home:
Lending a helping hand when the people around you need it also ties in to confirmation. As we are confirmed, we are called to serve, lending a helping hand such as helping clean the house or your sibling with an assignment is already an act of service. As stated just now, siblings, helpers, and parents are reached with this plan and we are called to do it daily.

Lastly and most especially, we have to be polite to the people we love and this once again ties in with confirmation. Being polite, is respecting the other person, and it can also make another's day. Manners such as listening to a story your parent or your sibling wants to share is living this plan out already. For us to know fulfill our destiny in this new normal and become a true Filipino Catholic Atenean, we must embrace the change of the times and follow these plans for ONE community, ONE nation, and ONE church. It begins with us.
