ex: when training a dog, make sure they are obedient. My dog went to obedience training to become better around people, and it helped with her skills to be compliant with orders or receiving treats etc.

Ex: If there is a big line of cars on a road, people will leave a space for any side streets so that people can still turn in or out of them.

ex: when with friends, perhaps you are all deciding what to do with your free time. you want to go and get ice cream but the three people ahead of you would like to get cotton candy. you are more likely to comply with them because that is what the majority would like.

Ex: Weeks before the Pearl Harbor attack, hundreds of communications confirming the attack was coming were intercepted from Japan. But the US didn't actually think they would attack because why would they risk war with a stronger army? Instead, they focused on the Japanese citizens in Pearl Harbor and ignored the real threat.

Ex: During covid, we couldn't have live performances in dance and instead had to live stream the show. So during our Night of Dance, in order for it to still feel like we had an audience we printed out the faces of celebrities and stuck them onto the chairs.
