Personification is the strategy of giving a non human thing qualities of a human characteristic. In the story of the Armadillo we can see the armadillo talking. This is giving an animal human like qualities. Another example is most of Aesops fables, like the grasshopper and the ants. These insects are given human like qualities by being able to talk.

Repetition is a rhetorical device that involves the action of repeating something that has already been written or said. An example in the story of the armadillo song is when the phrase "Don't be ridiculous, armadillos can't sing". Another example of repetition is the use of Gods in myths. Gods are always used in myths to display a higher sense of power in all the stories.

Morality is the differentiation of intentions, the principles that are concerning between what is right and what is wrong. An example of morality in the armadillo song is when the Wizard had to kill the armadillo even though he believed it was a "fine armadillo" he had to choose between what was right and what was wrong. Another example is the dog, the tortoise, and the farmer when the tortoise had to choose whether it was right or not to take extra food for himself. This eventually led to his death, he had chosen the wrong path.
