Of course, I couldn't resist and bought a Mare tet, but smaller than this one on the photo.

The atmosphere of this city was different from my experiences. The people I talked to were interesting.

The artist on the street of Pointe-Pitre is my favourite pic today, cause I ask him if it’s possible to choose some pic and he will paint it on the t-shirt in one hour. He was very friendly and I have a t-shirt with his design🌼. After we had a lunch in a restaurant Che Dudu and the boss also was very polite.

Of course, I was very interesting in a Museum of Slavery, especially in a audio short stories about slaves and masters and I really loved the paintting in a corridor of the Museum.

I have mixed feelings about today. The museum was informative and the history was very well prepared and illustrated. The gallery was created with really great art, some of the details were hypnotizing. The streets of the city had a special atmosphere. In places, absolute modernity and in others old buildings that radiated energy and contrast that I still cannot describe.

As soon as I arrived, I was impressed by the architecture of the gallery building, as well as how extensive the history was with personalities and modern art. History seems to be repeating and humans have not learned the lesson. I really liked the hallway with pictures and quotes such as" Freedom is food for which the Negro's stomach is not ready."

Today I lernt a lot about slavery, it's history ans its importance for Guadeloupe. Even though I already had some basic knowledge about slavery, there were many new aspects to think about. The picture I have chose for today is also more or less related to the topic of slavery. I hadnt expected that houses for living in the museum area would have been destroyed and rebuild just to make the scenery more pleasant for tourists.

I have already visited a lot of interactive museums and memorials around Europe focused on the cultural and natural heritage. Memorial ACT belongs to the top ones not only because of the theme on the history of slave trade and slavery I had had very little knowledge about, but the ways the museum interprets the theme. First of all, the introductory display room on the slavery, fortunately still present in the 21st century, such as everlasting slave trade to organ, children and women trade ushers the visitor to the theme, continuing in a very detailed, systematic and well structured way to increase the knowledge of the visitor on the slavery history. The memorial via various interactive displays enables the visitors to get acquire the knowledge, data, facts on the slave trade and slavery history that are not commonly at disposal.

Today was dedicated to the culture and history of Guadeloupe.
First, I was able to learn a lot about the development of slavery in Guadeloup.
The traditional meal at the end of today's unit showed the culinary diversity of this country.
In the evening I realized that the music brings a lot of joy to the locals.
