During the last few weeks in our Kindergarten classroom we talked about Spring. The children talked about the fine weather, the flowers, the butterflies, the sun and the environment we have in Spring. We discussed the importance of water to have nice flowers. Together we created a poster with this theme. The children chose their favourite flowers and used paints to paint them with their fingers. They used paintbrushes to paint the sun and the green grass. The children used the glue to attach the sun and the flowers on the poster. During this activity, the children developed their fine motor skills, their eye to hand coordination, their language as well as their knowledge and understanding about the world around them. To enhance the activity, I prepared a Powerpoint to help the children understand the sequence used to create our poster. I used WordWall to create a matching game about Spring.
