1. The character(donkey) wants to choose his own path/go down the quickest way.
2. The master of the donkey stopped him from going over the edge but the donkey kept pulling with all his might.
3. The master goes from trying to stop the donkey from going over the edge to just letting him go and allowing him to do what he wanted.
4. I think the donkey learned to not make irrational decisions like that because it can result in him hurting himself.

1. The donkey wants a quick shortcut to his stall at the bottom of a mountain.
2. The donkey's master initially stops him by holding him back, but in the end he also stops himself from making it by impulsively choosing a bad path.
3. The donkey does not change, (maybe it learns its lesson), but a change in his master is seen when instead of continuing to hold the donkey back he lets him go.
4. I believe the donkey may have learned to choose wisely when making a decision rather than diving right into it without any thought.

1. The donkey is wanting to go a quicker route instead of where his master is leading him.
2. The master is stopping the donkey from falling over the edge by pulling on his tail. Yet, the donkey is stubborn and pulls himself forward.
3. The master changes throughout the story by accepting the donkeys fate and says, "-go your own way you willful beast, and see where it leads you."
4. The lesson the donkey may have learned is to not take shortcuts, especially if your master advises you not to.
